I fell in love with this place the moment I looked at the pictures at VRBO site. This is a really a hidden jewel of the island. Conveniently located in the historic downtown area this house is thoughtfully designed to make you feel comfortable with everything you want to do. Unique decor, contemporary gourmet kitchen, flat screen TVs, and perfectly working Internet are rarely found on the Island. A screened deck and plenty of parking is a great plus. The owner is very hospitable and takes care of you as if you are family. A perfect place for a business traveller, nice for a solo or a couple. Old world style and elegance coupled with contemporary sophistication. If I ever come back in the area, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

WOW! I was blessed to locate this brand new home in downtown Chincoteague. It sits on a quiet street within a short walk to shops and the best restaurants in town, even the grocery store… The beach is a 8 minute drive.

Best of all, this home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The details in this new home reveals the warm charm of an amazing historic community. The kitchen was most enjoyable, I had the privilege to use it first; and I prepared wonderful meals for my family. The screened in patio made for an amazing evening for our crab feast, too! Our bedrooms were charming and beds were so to my likings…

The owner actually made it a point to check in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. He is a super nice guy and was always available if we needed anything. To say the least, we needed nothing as his home has everything!!!

I plan to make this my annual home of retreat and I hope all that visit this home enjoy it as much as we did… I only hope this home is respected by all of use who rent it. Such a wonderful charming home, host and community…

ENJOY!!!

This will probably sound too good to be true, but that’s because it is! This place was better than the pictures! We totally enjoyed our stay here! Some of the best parts of this place was the screened in porch and the shower on the porch. We ate all of our meals on the porch, because the weather was so pleasant. Everything about this house is brand new and beautiful! The antiques made me a little nervous with our rambunctious family! I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner is super nice and workable. Thanks so much for being an answer to our prayers and a great getaway for a busy family!

About the Owner

The owners, Denise and Dale Holston, are both natives of Chincoteague Island, and their ancestors here date all the way back to the 1700’s.

The property has belonged to the owners for many years, and Dale lived his first sixteen ears on the same street. This long-standing history on Mumford Street led to the decision to build a vacation home in this location so that visitors could enjoy the atmosphere and spend time in a 1920’s style Chincoteague home.

As you enter the home, you will see vast assortment of memorabilia from the early 1900’s. The home was newly constructed in 2013.

Feel free to call with questions, 757-990-0947.
