The Chincoteague Pony Centre is now open for the 2010 season, with the gift shoppe and museum open Monday thru Saturday (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and pony rides and riding lessons on Chincoteague ponies offered Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first Chincoteague Pony Show will be on Saturday May 29, at 8 p.m., featuring all the ponies and members of the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team. Pony rides and riding lessons will be held on a daily basis starting Monday May 31. Please email us at ponycntr@intercom.net


Welcome to the Chincoteague Pony Centre!

Welcome to the Chincoteague Pony Centre, home of the oldest established breeder of Misty family ponies.  We have the largest herd of Misty family ponies on the Island.   For a wonderful family experience to see and interact with real Chincoteague ponies, this is the best place to visit.   Meet the descendants of Misty, (special thanks to the Allen family, owners of Misty's closest relatives). Sit down and enjoy a movie or stroll around the stables.  There are many collectibles and antiques to look at or just relax with a cool drink and let life drift by.   We offer pony rides, riding lessons, pony day camps and a gift shop filled with unique items including a large collection of Breyer models! 
Come by and see the Chincoteague ponies and the little foals frolic in their pens in front  of the Pony Centre! This year we will be offering birthday parties here at the Pony Centre, with pony rides! 
 The Chincoteague Pony Centre is located on Chicken City Road, one block south of Maddox Blvd (see map below) 
Open seasonally Memorial Day to Labor Day
