Margaret A. Nichols, comes to Chincoteague Island from Northern Virginia where she enjoyed a successful career in Real Estate since 1988. She has received numerous outstanding awards from the Northern Virginia Assoc. Board of Realtors and Prince Williams Assoc. of Realtors for listings and sales. Her awards include, Rookie Of The Year and Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Club. Margaret received her designation for Graduate of Real Estate Institute from the University of Virginia. She also became a Relocation Specialist and mentored other Realtors in all aspects of Real Estate.

After Margaret’s husband, Gary, retired in 2005 they relocated to Southwest Virginia near Smith Mountain Lake. She continued her career with the Roanoke Association of Realtors. After several visits to Chincoteague Island and having enjoyed the people and atmosphere that the Island has to offer she took a position with the Pony Express and became a driver. She has enjoyed for the last three season’s meeting families from all over the world who have come to the Island for the beautiful beach, friendly people, outstanding seafood, wonderful quaint shops and of course the ponies. They fall in love with it, as she did. She call’s this her “Happy Place” in the sun.

Having an outgoing personality, eye for detail and friendly nature she enjoys telling visitors about this special Island, its people and what the area has to offer. Now affiliated with Island Property Enterprises, Inc., Margaret is looking forward with enthusiasm to continuing her successful Real Estate career on Chincoteague Island and Virginia Eastern Shore.
