If you like a sense of being away when you go away on vacation, our house is ideal.  It is on 1/3 acre on a dead-end lane, just off Little Oyster Bay.  It is surrounded by 100-year old cedars, spruces and pines.  Even on the busiest weekends it is a wonderfully tranquil place, yet is only about five blocks from the road that takes you to Assateague Island. 
The house itself is very comfortable.  It has two bedrooms and a half bath upstairs.  Downstairs it has a living room with a gas-burning cast-iron stove and a family room/dining room, along with a full bath.  A large new screened porch with skylights and a ceiling fan is off the family room.  It looks out onto several willow trees.  There is a second, smaller porch off the living room. The kitchen is small but well equipped.  There is an outbuilding that is useful for storing bikes and beach gear, as well as an outdoor shower and a gas grill. 
The house is fully air conditioned and well heated in the winter. There are also a washer/dryer, a TV with cable and a DVD/VCR player.  The house can sleep six, with two double beds in one bedroom, two new twin beds in the other bedroom, and a new full-size futon downstairs. 
We have a housekeeper clean between rentals.
