Brand New Home Located in the Historic Downtown Area
Myrtle on Mumford is a newly-constructed replica of a typical single-story Chincoteague home of the 1920's, with modern amenities added, such as central heat and air conditioning. The house is located in the downtown Main Street historic area, less than a five minute walk from town.
The living room is entered from Mumford Street through a front porch equipped with a swing and rocking chairs. The room includes comfortable furniture, a TV, antiques, and reproductions.
The contemporary gourmet kitchen features granite countertops and all the conveniences of home. Dishes and utensils are also included. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area equipped with an Amish-made table and six chairs.
The back bedroom offers a cedar lined closet, tongue and groove ceiling with a ceiling fan and recess lighting. It has a queen sized bed with dresser drawers located at the foot. A wall mounted tv is also located in the room. The front bedroom offers tongue and groove ceilings as well as two twin size beds. It also has a cedar lined closet and a ceiling fan.
In addition to the usual bathroom fixtures, the tub/shower is reminiscent of an old-time soaking tub.
The screened-in back porch provides a table and chairs for outdoor dining as well as a shower stall for a quick rinse after returning from the beach.
